THE SALAXACIS BOARD OF TOURISM

Welcome to the Salaxian territory, situated in the heart of what has come to be known as "Archer's Region" - the most exciting area you will ever discover, that includes the legendary Raven Garden district.
Archer's Region is nestled in the north-eastern part of the city, wedged neatly around the tavern which it was named after. It has the best weather, hunting grounds, banks, shops, and most of all: nightlife!

Why Salaxacis?

There are multiple aspects of this region that make it a great place to spend one's holidays:
  • Weather: A near-constant cloud cover guarantees sensitive eyes and easily burnt skin a haven.
  • Taverns: Two of the best pubs in the city (Archer's Tavern and The Last Days) are there to quench your thirst:
The famous Archer's Tavern (- Voted 'Best Place to get Wasted' 5 times in row) specializes also on cocktails of all styles - though you will need to ask about them, as they are not listen on the menu. Snacks are availible.
The Last Days doubles as a restaurant, and pride themselves with being far enough away from the main shopping street to have a quiet surrounding, but not too far as that one would need to walk a good while to reach a bank.
Please remember that it is quite impolite to sleep in a pub however, we understand that sometimes staying in pubs limits one's mobility. Just don't complain if you get Scrolled.
  • Reachability: Calliope Transit Station is just at the bottom end of the Salaxacian territory, so all you need to do to get there is step into your local trainstation and ask for the fastest route to Calliope and you're there!
  • Hunt: It has been observed that humans are much more plentyful in Salaxacis Region! And it doesn't stop there! Careful statistical study has shown that humans there are also healthier than average, thus yielding even more blood per kill! And if humans isn't your kettle of fish, there are plenty of vampires hanging around there as well! Just be sure not to bite a Salaxacis member.
  • Steal: With plenty of people around, it's the perfect place to pocket a few coins. But please do not steal in the pubs! People who get robbed in a pub will be unable to drink! This is immoral and wrong! Feel free to steal in guilds and magic shops though ;)
  • The only permanent shopping street in the city! Coming soon: A list of shops. Salaxacis is currently trying to get into contract with the Discount Magic store in hopes of being permitted to distribute their items further.
  • Four banks are nestled around the abovementioned street, and three further ones are scattered across the Salaxian territory, totalling to a massive amount of 7 on such a small space, the highest known density in all of the city! Please remember that sleeping in banks may cause overcrowding which may get you scrolled! For your own safety, please sleep out of banks!
  • Taxes/Visa: There are no taxes or visas required to visit Salaxacis Region. However, humans should be aware that they are required to pass a medical exam to ensure they are void of any blood disease. In addition, humans should keep in mind that it is highly discouraged to wear any jewlry bearing a cross. For more information, consult VNN, June 18, 2003.
  • The Raven Gardens Observatory is being rebuilt by Salaxacis. Any donations on the behalf of this project are gladly accepted. Please forward them to PinkGoth2, who will then pass the money on to the authorities in charge. (OOC: Donations really are welcome, and I will forward them, though the Salaxians have yet to decide where this virtual project's money will in actuality go to - we can, however, guarantee it will not be a Salaxian, and likely no one in any other clan, either. - PinkGoth2)

    How do I get there?

The aforementioned Transit Station (Calliope) is a great way to get right into the region. Alternatively, you can walk or use a taxi (the taxi driver will surely know your destination!), or use a Scroll of Teleportation, though this is not recommended for obvious monetary reasons. Afterall, you want to have enough money left to buy the exquisitely delicious drinks in Archer's Tavern!
